HOW IT WORKS

The app uses the magnetometer available in supported Android phones. Move your device slowly around the area you want to scan and watch for changes in magnetic-field strength.

For best results, calibrate your sensor and remove magnetic phone cases or accessories before scanning.

IMPORTANT

A smartphone magnetometer measures magnetic fields and responds best to magnetic or ferromagnetic materials such as iron and steel. Gold, silver, copper and other non-ferromagnetic metals cannot be reliably identified specifically by a phone magnetometer. This app is a sensor-based utility and is not a replacement for professional metal or gold-detection equipment.
